Today, I Choose

What will you choose today?

Today, I choose to put a downpayment on my dream. My first investment will be in myself. This first step of faith is my declaration to myself and to God that I'm ready to live the life of my dreams. #IChooseMe2023

Happy 2023! Your I choose intentions will still be sent daily this year! We will now have a weekly theme. This week's theme is "Sowing Seeds".

I planned all of the I Choose themes for Quarter 1 in December. At the time, I had not thought of reading Draw the Circle. Turns out, Day 7 of Draw the Circle was about putting a down payment on your dreams. 2023 is looking like the year of confirmations! If you needed a sign to start, this is most definitely it.

Start this year differently by setting intentions for your day. An intention, simply put, is an aim or a plan. Start your day by being an active participant in your life. You can control how you navigate throughout the day even when life be life-ing!

Once your intention is set, add a little razzle dazzle with prayer. My prayer blueprint is based off Psalm 100:4 is my blueprint for prayer. We are told to enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name. Prayer does not have to be long, religious or ornate. Here's my prayer format.

Praisegiving + Surrender + Supplication + Gratitude.

For example:

Lord, thank You for being so good! (praisegiving). I know that You got this! (surrender). Help me when I feel like I've got it because I know that I don't (supplication). Thanks for always having it! I will live this day as a representation of You (gratitude).

This simple guideline has helped me to focus my prayers, so that I don't feel overwhelmed or scatterbrained.
